In 2014, Third Coast Cookers formed Third Coast Community Partners (TCCP), a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations are tax deductible. TCCP does fund raising year round, not only for our Texas youth at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo, but also through our efforts within and around the community.
We are currently raising money to help purchase laptops for those children in the Houston area that need them to complete their home schooling during this COVID-19 quarantine situation, whether you donate $5 or $500. Every little bit helps. Thank you for your support.
Third Coast Community Partners (TCCP) will do fund raising year-round through our efforts within and around the community. Our plan thus far is to create a buying group. We then will take the funds earned and provide straight donations to other charitable organizations. Phase 3 will create a scholarship fund for students who meet a certain criteria, to be determined. We will partner with many charitable organizations; our largest partner to date is the Houston Livestock Show andRodeo (HLSR).
Who is Third Coast Community Partners?
Third Coast Community Partners (TCCP) was formed as a non profit incorporation as of June 19, 2014 in order to obtain a possible future status as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization.
What does this mean for Third Coast Cookers?
Third Coast Cookers (TCC) will remain and TCCP will use and own the trademark of TCC. In other words, TCCP owns TCC. Essentially TCCP is doing business as (d/b/a) Third Coast Cookers.
Will sponsors receive notification of the TCCP 501(c)(3) and it's status and what does that do for them differently than it did prior to our 501(c)(3) status?
Yes, we will be sending out forms to all Sponsors that made donations in 2014 and 2015. Sponsors will need to be advised further by their accountant on how to handle as we do not claim to be an IRS/tax expert.
What will change?
We will be able to do fund raising year round, not only for our Texas youth at HLSR, but through efforts within and around the community. Our plan thus far, is to create a buying group, taking the funds we earn and providing straight donations to other charitable organizations, such as HLSR where proceeds go directly for scholarships, education and health-focused initiatives. Phase 3 will be to create a scholarship fund for students, meeting a certain criteria (TBD).
